USCCA Training Counselor
The USCCA (United States Concealed Carry Association) is the nations most respected and modern national training organization.
The role of Training Counselor (or TC) is the backbone of the USCCA's Training Division as the TC is responsible to the USCCA to certify all new incoming instructors. If you want to start a career as a USCCA Instructor, Ian is you man, and Intrepid is the Academy.

In addition to being a TC, the person who ceritifies, mentors and guides the Certified Instructors (CI's), Ian is a Certified Instructor as well, certified to teach every course that the USCCA offers:

Holding one of the oldest and most recognized instructor certifications in the USA, Ian is a certified NRA instructor in the following disciplines:

- Basics of Shotgun Shooting
- Range Safety Officer
- Refuse to Be a Victim
Civilian Marskmanship Program Instructor
The CMP's mission is to promote excellence in marksmanship, firearms safety and youth programs made possible by the secure restoration and sale of historic American firearms.
Ian is a certified CMP firearms instructor.
UTM Force-On-Force Civilian Instructor
There is nothing more real than force-on-force training to simulate the stress of a critical dynamic incident. This training is common in the military and law enforcement world, but quite rate in the civilian population. Ian is one of the few UTM civilian force-on-force instructor in the nation.
American Heart Association Instructor
Ian is certified by the American Heart Associatiion to teach:
- Heartsaver - the CPR/AED/First Aid course for civilians
- Basic Life Saver (BLS) - the CPR/AED course for healthcare professionals.
