Why Intrepid & The USCCA ??
USCCA Design
USCCA curriculum is the national benchmark for defensive pistol education. There is no better.
Intrepid Delivery
Intrepid translates curriculum into real capability – clear coaching, safe range work, practical skills when it matters most.
Relationship-based
We help you choose the right firearm without selling it to you (we’re not a gun retailer) – and we’re there long after the class is over with advice, a listening ear, and answers to any question you can think of.
Hundreds of Five-Star Reviews.
We’ve received hundreds of five star reviews. In fact, we’ve only a single four star review in 10 years… and that from a fellow with only three fingers on his shooting hand! And he still FINISHED STRONG !
This review below from a Certified Instructor candidate (yes, we train and certify USCCA instructors) particularly warmed our hearts:

What They’re Saying...
Ian is an amazing instructor. He is very dedicated in teaching gun safety first and foremost. He is also very patient. He instructs you how to properly handle your weapon. Ian continuously encourages his students in their progress. We highly recommend Ian and Intrepid Firearms Academy to learn the proper techniques in gun safety and training.
As someone new to gun ownership I really appreciated the instructor’s knowledge and willingness to meet me at my level.
I very much enjoyed this class. The instructor was excellent. I’m an absolute beginner and he was very patient and comprehensive in his instruction. I had a great time, learned a lot and feel much more confident. I will be taking additional classes to continue to improve.
Had a great time and learned a lot. Instructor Ian emphasized the why behind everything taught. He also taught from the comfort level of student and the emotional purpose of the student. As long as I am in the area, this will be my first choice.
Just completed the AR-15 Fundamentals class with Ian as the instructor. Although I was nervous going to the class having very limited knowledge and experience with the AR-15, Ian made the class very comfortable and enjoyable for both our classroom and range instruction. I highly recommend both the training and the instructor and plan on taking other courses offered by Intrepid Firearms Academy in the future.
